Republicans Across America Celebrate As President Trump Runs A Victory Lap Regarding His Impeachment Trial Acquittal
I think we can all attest that being observers and participates in modern day American politics brings out the best and worst of most people on social media. I admire those who remain silent. However, a lot of us observers of politics are not able to or choose not to do so. I suppose I am one of those who post what’s on my mind
especially when the battles get heated up in Washington like they did earlier in the week. I would dare say that most of us Republicans were apparently really happy enjoying our day basking in the sun on social media while President Trump ran a victory lap regarding his impeachment trial acquittal before the media at the National Prayer Breakfast. With President Trump’s State of the Union Address, Nancy Pelosi being a sore loser by tearing up President Trump’s speech up on national television and of course, President's Trump’s ultimate “not guilty” on both impeachment charges, most of us Republicans used social media as a megaphone to tell the world how we felt about it. I was called “100% mean spirited” by one person and a “a pathetic human” by another person on Facebook. So I blocked them. I don’t argue with those who take politics personally and start the name calling. Nonetheless, it was an incredible day for all of us Republicans across America!

President Trump At His Best During One Of The Worst Days In America After Vegas Mass Shooting
I think most of us in America as well as those around the world were probably shocked when saw the news yesterday morning when we woke up that over 50 people were slaughtered by a lone gunman shooting out of a Las Vegas hotel room with rapid fire at a Jason Aldean's outdoor country music concert on Sunday night.

However, a lot of us found comfort in President Trump's speech about the tragedy during his speech at the White House yesterday whether you watched it on television or on the internet. I watched President Trump's speech yesterday evening on Youtube (see video posted below). In spite of President Trump's flaws and character defects, he is a man of conviction, passion and a believer and not afraid to use the words, "God, love, prayer, care" in his sentences. This is the kind of leader we need during times like these. He gives us hope for America and a feeling of security regardless of what's going on in the world. After President Trump visit to hurricane devastated Puerto Rico today and he will fly to Las Vegas to visit with the victims and family members of the mass shooting on Wednesday. We pray for all the innocent concert goers who lost their lives on Sunday night and for those who were injured. We also pray for the victim's family members. God Bless President Trump and America.

President Trump's First Week In Office Is A Major Success!
I'd say for the average, conservative hardworking man and woman in America who voted for President Trump and who is a taxpaying citizen, we view his first week in office as a major success.
At breakneck speed, President Trump signed several executive orders that will help restore law and order in our country and help protect our national security making good on some of his campaign promises already. On one of them, we are feelings the effects of it already here in Bowling Green, Ky. There was a front page story published this past Friday in our local newspaper, the Bowling Green Daily News, written by reporter Wes Swietek stating the fate of 40 Syrian refugees which were due to arrive in our city this year is now in limbo because our president signed an executive order restricting refugee arrivals, and of one our local officials said he doubted that the Syrian refugees would make it here.
Personally, I am all about our city, state and country helping people from war torn counties with our taxpayer dollars if necessary. I know in years past in Bowling Green that we have taken in Vietnamese, Cambodians, Bosnians and Burmese from war torn countries. They have assimilated here well and they are working, holding down jobs, buying and owning homes and businesses and raising their families in our city. And a lot of them have even become American citizens.

Official: Syrian refugees now unlikely to ever arrive in Bowling Green

The fate of 40 Syrian refugees slated to arrive in Bowling Green this year is in limbo as President Donald Trump is reportedly set to sign an executive order restricting refugee arrivals, and one local official said he doubts the Syrians will ever make it here.
In the coming days, Trump is expected to indefinitely bar refugees fleeing war-torn Syria from entering the U.S. The order is also expected to suspend issuing visas for people from several predominantly Muslim countries – Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen – for at least 30 days, according to a draft of the order obtained by The Associated Press and other news outlets.
The 40 Syrians were tentatively slated to come to Bowling Green this year through the International Center of Kentucky's Bowling Green office.
That office's executive director, Albert Mbanfu, said he doesn't think the Syrians will make it here at all "until (Trump) changes his mind" – a prospect he isn't counting on.
"I just pray they don't get killed by ISIS," Mbanfu said of the 40 Syrians, who are in refugee camps in the Middle East.
U.S. Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., supports Trump's executive order.
"I think there are two reasons why we ought to put a hold on it. One, we need to make sure that the people coming to our country are coming with good intentions," said Paul, a Bowling Green resident.
"The other thing is we have a lot of poor people already in Kentucky," Paul added, saying he thinks government should focus on taking care of the needs of those who are already here.
Mbanfu said concerns that refugees are not thoroughly vetted are based on a misconception.
"My guess is he does not have an understanding of the process," Mbanfu said of Trump.
"Tell me one thing that's not being done," he said, noting that the vetting process for refugees takes several years and the 40 Syrians who were slated to arrive here have been going through the vetting process for more than a year.
The Washington Post first reported on the proposed order. The order states as the reasoning behind it that “hundreds of foreign-born individuals have been convicted or implicated in terrorism-related crimes since September 11, 2001,” The Post reported.
The newpaper noted that most terrorist or suspected terrorist attacks since 9/11 "have been carried out by U.S. citizens. The 9/11 hijackers hailed primarily from Saudi Arabia, as well as the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Lebanon – all U.S. allies, and none of which would be affected by the immediate ban."
In an interview with ABC News on Wednesday, Trump said of the refugee ban and his plan to build a border wall with Mexico: “It’s going to be very hard to come in,” to the U.S. “Right now, it’s very easy to come in.”
Public meetings about the proposed resettlement of Syrians here last year drew mixed opinions, but after the meetings and discussions with local school districts, the Barren River District Health Department and other community organizations, The International Center decided in April to resettle 40 Syrians here.
"It's so, so depressing," Mbanfu said of Trump's stance.
"It totally goes against what this country is all about," he said, adding that the first refugees to come to the U.S. were those aboard the Mayflower.

As We Honor Our Veterans Today We Still Have Every Right To Be Cautious And Concerned
"When I think of Veterans Day, I think of my late father, Army Major Vester Brooks Smith, and his service in World War II and the Korean War. He made sacrifices to leave his family putting his life at risk. By the grace of God, he made it home alive. If he hadn't, me and my two other brothers wouldn't have been born because we were born after his time in Korean. Also, I think of his time and service he gave to our country while he was enlisted in the Army and the local National Guard in Memphis where I grew up. Although he was not killed in war, he paid the ultimate price by obtaining the dreaded Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. (PTSD). However, he was a high functioning member of society and went on to get his college degree from Memphis State University and had a very successful career in
accounting and bookkeeping. And as I think of us as American citizens, we pay the ultimate sacrifice too by honoring our veterans and America everyday, working hard and paying our taxes. We were born here legally and because of our heritage of our family member's sacrifice in the military, we have the right to be proud and to be concerned for our country, our homes, our jobs, our community and our families. We have right to be concerned for our way of life, our peace and our freedom from threats and of acts of violence against our citizens and our nation from terrorists such as Muslims extremists and other such terrorists. We have a right to be cautious and leery of these Syrians Muslim refugees that Obama and his administration are bringing into Bowling Green and other small towns across the nation. We work hard, pay our taxes and are law abiding citizens and we have every right to be concerned and on guard. And we do not seek handouts. We pay our own way and apparently the way for others who are not even citizens who have not even made any sacrifices nor have their family members. Nevertheless Happy Veterans Day!"-Galen A. Big Government Spending: The High Cost Of Settling Refugees In America
"I was appalled when I heard on the radio the other day that it costs us taxpayers $67,000 per individual to settle a refugee in America. I would rather continue to spend money to build our military and quit bringing over these un-vetted dangerous and harmful refugees who could turn out to be deadly extremist Muslims like the ones in California and Orlando. Obama and the Democrats have weakened America in the last eight years by their bad decisions. Plus Hillary's "Pay-to-Play with state" accepting millions of dollars from the Middle East to influence American policy. She's such a sell out and liar. She's very deceptive all in the name of her own benefit financially by using her political power to make money for her and Bill."-Galen A. Smith Sr

Trump VS. Clinton: The Tangible Vs. The Non-Tangible (Pay-To-Play With State)
"I like this point. What product or service has Bill and Hillary sold to make millions for their so called foundation? What have they built or created that is legal or legitimate? Nothing! It's all scams and lies accepting donations from foreign countries in order to buy their (the Clintons) governmental power and influence to create policy change in America for the worst. (Pay-to-Play with state).http://www.lifezette.com/polizette/clinton-foundation-ceo-admits-pay-play-state/ On the other hand, Trump has created and built things and his brands legally for years to make his money. He is a successful businessman and only wants what's best for America and its citizens."- Galen A. Smith Sr.

We, The Working Class People Of America, Should Vote Trump!
"I'm come to this conclusion. Even though we the working class people of this country people work ourselves to the bone, dedicated to our employers and our customers with our feet hurting and swelling when we get home, sweltering in the 100 degree and humid temperatures, we keep pressing on. We've given up about worrying about high grocery prices and noticing more taxes being deducted out of our paychecks. Our main goal is to work hard and provide for our families. And because we may
not be super wealthy, we know the truth that we don't have to lie and cheat the American people to obtain what we have like some people (Hillary) running for a high political office. It's doesn't matter how much education you have, how many sheepskins are on your wall or who you know, at least we can go to bed at night with a clear conscience and wake up in the morning with integrity and pride in our hearts, knowing that we carry the weight of the country on our shoulders all in a day's work. Vote Republican and Trump!"-Galen A. Smith Sr., Bowling Green, Ky.

The Murder Of A Seven Year-Old Girl In Scottsville, Ky., And ISISTerrorists in Paris, France, Dominate The World-Wide News This Past Week
Evil is lurking in the shadows of darkness even in the hills and valleys of a small town in Southcentral Kentucky.
Also, here in Southcentral Kentucky we were all exposed to the unthinkable, horrible news of the little girl who went missing at a little league football game at the high school in Scottsville, Ky., and her murdered body was found approximately 25 minutes later lying next to a creek in a wooded area next to the stadium. Fear struck the hearts and minds of the small town residents with a population of 4,200 just southeast 25 miles of Bowling Green, Ky. The murder of Gabbie Doolin has not only affected the residents of Southcentral Kentucky but the whole world it seems. The kidnapping, rape, sodomy and murder of Gabbie according to Kentucky State Police (KSP) made world-wide news being portrayed on CNN, CBS, NBC, FOX and thousands of other news outlets which include local, state, national and global media including People Magazine.http://www.people.com/article/timothy-madden-arrested-rape-kidnapping-murder-Gabbi-doolin
Fortunately, thanks to the extremely difficult and hard work of the Kentucky State Police and local authorities, they were able to make an arrest of the suspect. His name is Timothy Madden, 38 years-old, father of five and an unemployed construction worker who also went to high school with Gabbi's father. According to sources, Madden was at the football game last Saturday night and even sat close to the family in the stands. Madden maintains that he is innocent but KSP say that they have DNA evidence that connects him to the crime scene and Gabbi's little body. If Madden is guilty of this unspeakable murder, we certainly hope that justice will be served to the extreme. However, some people seem to still wonder if they have the right man. I suppose that will be up to a jury to determine.
However, we never know when something incredible evil is going to strike and we as Americans these days are always hoping and praying that it does not happen to us. Because after all, most of us are hardworking, taxpaying citizens of our cities, counties and states across the country. I think most Americans feel like they are safe in this country to a certain degree. Or least we hope so. But in the age of social media, most of us who are always connected to Facebook, Twitter and whatever else internet site is out there and we have developed a habit of venting. We have become accustomed to expressing our opinions and views regarding of what's happening on a global, national or local level. We are living in an age where a constant hit of dopamine to our brains has become an everyday occurrence on multi-levels while on our smart phones, iPads and desktop computers. We have become addicted to the "likes" of approval from our peers from these sites too. But sometimes we have Facebook friends who differ with us in our opinions which is okay, because after all there in a thing called, "Freedom of Speech" in America. That's the way we like it and that's the way we want to keep it, right?
But this past week was another one of those weeks, where the battle of opinions and the expression of views was a like an on-going 24 hour town hall debate that never stopped. Millions of Facebook users including me had opinions and we expressed our views about ISIS in the world and the murders of the concert goers in Paris last Friday night. Also it was the war of words against the Syrian refugees between the liberals and the conservatives and the Obama administration for wanting to continue to allow Syrian refugees to keep coming in to America. The voters of America got into action and started calling their congressmen's and senator's local offices to express their opinion against allowing these potential terrorists to come into our country. A bill was passed in our government within a week and states across America banned them all together.

As a Americans, we must be vigilant. Nowadays we live in a different world. It's not like used to be in the 60's, 70's and even the 80's somewhat. We have to watch our backs and protects ourselves against any potential terrorists by vetting the refugees coming to our country. And we most definitely must watch our children always and protect them against child predators and sexual monsters. We must always keep tabs on them and who they are with. Keep the evil of darkness on your doorstep outside. Protect yourself, your homes and families with a spirit of God, love, light and even a legal and registered gun if you have one.

R.I.P. Andy Griffith, 1926-2012
"In regards to Actor Andy Griffith's death today, I think most of us baby boomers who grew up in the 50's and 60's watching his television sitcom still long in our hearts and minds and would like to think that a "Mayberry" still exits somewhere in America. But in reality we know that it does not these days. But at least we have the re-runs from "The Andy Griffith Show"http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d7_cac6gqAU to escape reality for 30 minutes at time."-Galen A. Smith Sr.

"Act Of Valor," An Action Packed, Intense, Eye Opener Of A Movie
"If you like action packed movies mixed in with thrills and you want to know more about what the U.S. Navy Seals do for a living, this is the movie for you. Patty and I went to see "Act Of Valor" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nrhd2WPd64Ethis afternoon (2/26/12) and we were literally sitting on the edge of our seats watching this very intense movie. It's amazing what goes on behind the scenes with the government's high tech, top secret, special armed force and we as average citizens do not have a clue. Most of us are busy working and living our lives in our little postage stamp pieces of the world safely tucked away in America."-Galen A. Smith Sr.
